Echo won't show Picture Library

#1

Post by calcuttaman » Thu Jan 16, 2014 8:24 pm

I was referred here by Ceton tech support. When trying to view my Picture Library via a Ceton Echo I'm having problems.

I've uninstalled/reinstalled multiple times. I've set my Picture Library to different dirs, differents drives, shared dirs, dirs with only a couple of jpgs. I always get the same results. Note that my video library is set to the same dir tree as the Picture Library and it displays and works fine. Also, my Recorded TV and Music libraries display fine.

So every picture tells a story. View these from top to bottom...

Can only include 3 urls per post, so the bottom 3 you'll have to copy and paste.

Note that in the instances above I had the first sort set as "Folders" and the next by "Name".

In this batch of photos I had the first sort as "Date Taken."

Again, see the photos in order and see what I've written in each one.

What scares me is that Ceton tech support is sending people to an online forum to solve their issues. Not good...

I don't use the pics library so unfortunately cannot help OP. But their actions are concerning to me.

They have gone over the top and responded instantly when there was an issue directly related to their products.

Don't know of many companies that take the time to support others products.

It just takes time for all those thumbnails to fill in. This isn't a problem.

I guess I should have said it better. Let me clarify that a bit.

Ceton support NEVER said anything like, "We can't help you anymore more so go to the Green Button."

Ceton support and I have exchanged many emails back and forth trying to figure it out. We are still working on it.

Here is what they said, "In addition, there is an Echo Support section in The Green Button forums here"
