I thought about lowballing them an offer, finding proper power cables and flipping them but it seems like a lot of work.

At least you'd have spares!.......

The lack of h.264 TV support rules them out for a lot of non US countries these days really.

1200 clams?

Eek...

I wouldn't pay 40 for one working unit let alone a job lot of them AS IS.

I have a non-us DMA2100 and it is working just fine. I used a cheap EU to USA plug adapter on the original power supply. The power supply it self will work with US 120V 50 Hz, you just need a physical adapter to make it fit the flat slots instead of round.

Speaking of DMA2100, I have one that after it was powered off, it won't power back on. The LED stays RED, and neither unplugging and plugging back in it (which usually makes it boot up) nor pressing power button on the remote would make it boot up. So, I need a replacement.

As to the DVD region issue on the 2200. I replaced a bum DVD ROM in one of the 2200's with a DVD-RW (I could not find a DVD-ROM) and it works. So, one could replace the DVD ROM with one that is OK for the region. Another possibility is to take the DVD-ROM and connect to a PC via IDE cable (yes, they are IDE) and set the region on the PC, and then put it back in the 2200.
