No audio voice but background sounds

I have the weirdest problem, and so far could not find a fix. While attempting to watch the rose bowl on my 360 extender, I noticed that i did not receive any of the sport commentary, but i did get the crowd noise as well as the audio of pads and helmets hitting. When it went to commercial i was able to hear voice and background all at once. I went to my HTPC and tuned the same channel on media center and i was able to hear the sport commentary. Does anyone have any idea whats going on?

How are you getting the audio from your 360? Receiver? Soundbar? Through the TV? Sounds like your center channel is not working.

Audio from the 360 is by HDMI into my receiver. When a commercial comes on I hear all sounds just fine.

Commercial is probably not Dolby Digital multichannel like the game. Connect your HDMI directly to your TV. If the problem doesn't appear with that setup, the problem is with your receiver's interpretation of the Dolby Digital signal.
