I would like to have my computer enter a S3 state when you press the power off button on a remote. Is this possible? I currently have it go to S3 state when the computer has not been used in 2 hours and wakes up when certain application start up (ie recording a show in WMC). Thanks in advance

FWIW, I have mine set to sleep after 3 minutes and that works fine. I choose not to use a command to sleep because it can't sleep when it's busy and that throws off my power state tracking on my remote.

To answer, yes, change the power button settings to sleep rather than off in control panel where it asks what the power button does
