Sound cuts out when a recording starts

Hi,

I have a windows 8 installation with a DigitalNow Quad DVB-T Receiver. Up until 2 weeks ago all was good. The area I live in (Adelaide hills) had to re-tune to the new frequencies, and since I re-tuned I no longer get sound on my recordings. Live Tv is fine, but all recordings have no sound, picture is fine. If you are watching a channel and a scheduled recording starts on the channel you are watching the sound drops out. If you go and cancel the recording and then go back to live tv you get sound back again. Interestingly if you hit the record button the sound does not cut out.

Any ideas? I'm at a complete loss, have been searching but cannot find anything.
