Installation error code 2908

#1

Post by blahlex » Wed Sep 25, 2013 1:44 am

I couldn't connect to my htpc from my android so I uninstalled the software and attempted a re-installation but now I'm getting the following error messages:

The installer has encountered an unexpected error installing this package. This may indicate a problem with the package. The error code is 2908.

After I hit OK I get the following error:

An error occured during the installation of assembly 'Ceton.Otay.AddIn,fileVersion="13.2.26.1062",version="13.2.26.1062",culture="neutral".publicKeyToken="19572CD5DEB5FEFA".processorArchitecture="MSIL"'. Please refer to Help and Support for more information. HRESULT: 0x8007007E

Any thoughts on the cause? I've downloaded the same file 3 times with the same result. Any help would be much appreciated.

TIA!!

It doesn't seem to be an issue with the installer, it looks like the uninstall did not properly uninstall the plugin.

Have you attempted to restart since you uninstall the app? Media Center might be holding onto something.
