Ok, So I have had a fully functioning InfiniTV4 for quite a while (my actual original purchase many years ago when it first came out) I have it on firmware 1.2.1.1 and the ceton diagnostics claims it is up to date so I cannot upgrade it. I recently managed to snag another infinitv4 for $100 and when I got it the firmware on this one was 1.1.8.2 and the diagnostic claims it is up to date and will not provide me a firmware to update it with... this doesn't change even if i disable the original infinitv4 and reboot...
So what do I need to do in order to properly get the firmware updated on these?

Uninstall the Ceton software, and Install the latest version. Then, check for firmware/hardware updates again.

Do you have both in the same machine? If so, isn't there a bug in the drivers where it looks at the wrong FW version for the card in question? You could try removing your old one temporarily and check again.

By latest, did you go to the beta drivers? If not, install the beta drivers and then select beta in the update box and check again. Not running my original card right now so don't know if it is on a list that isn't offered new FW for some reason (different chipset, etc).werds wrote:Just tried that, same result :(barnabas1969 wrote:Uninstall the Ceton software, and Install the latest version. Ok, added 2+2 here and got the one answer! Neither one of the infinitv4's would update to regular firmware or drivers apparently. BUT they both accepted beta firmware and drivers... and I needed to take them and install them in separate PC's to accomplish this...
