Remote Enhancement Request

#1

The Ceton My Media Center app is a nice app but I think it could be better.
I wish the remote was structured so I did not have to look at it to use it.
The need to look at the remote could be minimized by taking advantage of swiping and double tapping.
The bulk of media center operations can get done with just a few keys.
They are Home, Back, Skip Back/Forward, Arrow Up/Down, Arrow Left/Right and Volume Up/Down.
This would be in addition to the current remote and keypad screen. Just swipe form left to right to display it.

Here is my proposed design:

Code: Select all

+----------------------------------------+
|Left Arrow Swipe Right Arrow |
| +
+-------+-------------------------+------+
| | | Vol |
| UP | | Up |
|Arrow | | |
| | | |
| | | Swipe|
|Swipe | Double tap | |
| | here for OK/Enter | long |
| | | press|
| | Long press for |to |
|Down | pause |mute |
|Arrow +-----------+-------------+ |
| | Skip | Skip |Vol |
| | Back | Forward |Down |
+-------+-----------+--------------------+
| Home | Back |
| | |
+-------------------+--------------------+
The speed of the swipe could also play into how much movement or repeated key pressing that happens.
Also, there could be some vibration feedback on various functions.

Thanks.
