I know about Event Ghost, but are there other options? Like a regedit? I want to add one exe command to a single button on my remote.

It is possible to edit the registry to control what each button sends, but it is limited to a single button on the keyboard (plus CTRL, ALT, SHIFT, and WIN) plus some Windows media commands (PLAY, PAUSE, etc). For example, you can make a button on your remote send CTRL+SHIFT+W, if you want. But then, you need to link that "hot key" to something by either making a shortcut on your desktop and assigning a hot key to it (which I've found to be VERY unreliable), or you will need to use some software like Auto Hot Key or EventGhost to trigger on that key sequence.
