been looking at this thinking of sticking it on my living room thermostat in conjunction with an arduino and (hopefully) creating a timer and web access to control my boiler...
this isn't really my forté but I'm bored just wondered if anyone on here has done anything like this and if so is it pretty straightforward???
i do have a timer etc on my boiler but i'd love to be on the way home from work and turn it on by web access on my phone for example...

I understand the toy with stuff urge, but i got wifi thermostats for about $120 a piece and they do all of that. I can see the temp, set point, adjust the schedule over ride the schedule... I have to imagine all the costs of an arduino board and all the components and then all the time to get it to work... But if the goal is to see if you can do it, then yeah,i could see that.

I could do it with LabView, but arduino and all those little boards are way over my head. And i don't have the money to play with lab view at home.

Potentially way over my head as well... Think I'm going to trial a light bulb or something first!!!
