AIO Remote And Keyboard

#1

Post by KungFuKid » Sun Feb 17, 2013 6:09 pm

Hi,

I am trying to find an all in one keyboard and remote for a reasonable price. So far I have found the Acer Z series remote on EBay but I cannot find any info on if this will work with any IR receiver. Any suggestions and help will be gratefully received!

My guess is that those remotes are coded for the acer Z series all in one computers.
Probably not compatable with other systems.
If you don't need the remote for other devices, you may want to check out remotes
with their own reciever.
Do an ebay search for htpc remote and you will find quite a few variations on keyboard/mouse remotes.
Here is an air mouse remote.....

There are other types, depending on what you want it to do.
If you want a remote for multiple devices, then the harmony remotes are something to look at.
But they aren't cheap.

I have the smk-link vp6364. Touchpad to control the mouse. Has the WMC green button too. I have a wii type remote with my google tv and it gets old trying to move it just right.

Thanks for the replies, I would have thought there would be more choice out there. Either I'm going to have to stump up the cash or I could buy a BT mini keyboard and tape it to the back of my remote :)
