Anyway to launch this app from within WMC on "extender" PC?

I was wondering if it's possible to launch this app from within media center running on an "extender" pc setup. Basically this could take the place of remote potato + remote potato addin.

Thanks!

What do you mean by, "..possible to launch this app from within media center running on an "extender" pc setup."?

I think he's talking about using the Ceton app from a PC that he's using as an "extender" so that he'd be able to schedule recordings on the main PC.

It's an interesting idea for people who use PCs as extenders, but I don't think it's feasible right now - even with Win8 on the "extender" the context switch might not work.

I was a bit confused and still am I guess. You could add both PCs and manage them separately. we don't merge any data or anything, but you can manage multiple pcs.

1 PC with tuners.

1 "extender" PC, no tuners, shares the Recorded TV from the first PC.

If you're watching something on the 2nd PC, and would like to schedule a recording on the 1st PC, or check to see what is scheduled, it'd be handy to call up the Ceton app from within Media Center on the 2nd PC.

You could bring up MMC on the 2nd PC and talk to the 1st PC no issues. Would be really easy to do on Windows 8 actually and just snap view it.

Edit: There no plans for an add-in at all, ideally you could use the Windows 8 metro app separately to control either of the HTPCs. hope this explains a bit more what I was trying to say.
