WP8 - Movie Gallery Play

#1

Post by txshonk » Fri Jan 18, 2013 4:20 am

I have started utilizing the My Media Center App on my WP8.

When I am in the App and go to the movie gallery and press play. I get a message that playback will start momentarily, but nothing ever happens.

Is this feature not active yet?

If for some reason ti doesn't start playback do a few other tests...

Does the remote work?
Does playback of recorded tv work?

Also WMC does need to be open.

A few other things to check if those first 2 aren't working is to simply reboot the HTPC when you have a second and see if that fixes it up.

If the first 2 things are working fine then it might be an issue with the cache. See this: http://cetoncorp.com/2012/08/27/is-ther ... ms-around/

Are your movies DVD rips/Vob folders? I was having this same/very simialr issue if you remember Motz. I haven't tried it yet since I talked to you about it/submitted the bug (I don't even have my movie folder added to the Ceton services app as I'm awaiting the local/native metadata support).

Playback will occur in Media Center on your PC, not on your phone.

The Companion app is a Remote Control, not a remote player.
