What is the best way to backup not just the "selected" channels, but also the tuners associated with them. Is guidetool the only option? Can it do what I want...
example:
I currently have 6 CC tuners, 4 QAM, 2 Analog, 2 ATSC tuners.
On a fresh scan one of the local stations is found on all the tuners (except the analog) but the ATSC signals are not as good/reliable as the others. I want to be able to remove the ATSC signal from the list, but then backup the lineup in such a way that if I do a rescan, I can have the (de)selections restored in case I need to rerun TV setup again.
There are other channels that I would like to finetune the tuner selection as well to make sure that the best tuner balance is met so that every channel has the maximum chance of finding an appropriate tuner. One reason is that I do have a few stations that are only on ATSC which will entail going through ALL the channels to make sure that channels that are avail on cable as well as ATSC do not get an ATSC tuner by accident.
