ATI users - What Catalyst version are you using?
[HD6670]
[Smasung LN46B550 TV]
[Denon 2112ci AVR - using HDMI audio]
As of right now I am on 11.7, but am hoping to find a version that works well.
A long time ago I used a 10.x version that was really good, but I can't recall which one and don't fancy going through them all.
Every now and then if I mute, I lose captions and sometimes (rarely) I have HDMI handshake problems flicking from another source back to the HTPC (black screen with 11.7, but it has also been a green screen with higher Catalyst versions). I have to press live TV for the display and sound to return.
I'm interested in knowing your success stories and tales of woe.

12.6. No issues but I don't use HDMI audio as powering on an off the receiver and TV causes problems. I'm going to try the Live TV button and see if that works for me.

^12.6 borked things royally for me in the audio department.
Flicking from 5.1 to 2.0 (music) on my AVR killed all sound until a reboot.

I am in the process of trying out 12.6, not such a great idea for an HD 3200.

I see what you mean about going through them all.

I just bumped up to 12.8 from 12.6
Apparently, 12.8 fixes the issue where the Audio is turned off when you turn off the TV. I haven't tested it yet to see if it does resolve the issue.

Did you ever find the "magic" driver for the 6670?

Unfortunately not yet. The 10.x drivers do not work. I last used a 10.x with a Sapphire 4xxx
I'm still on 11.7 and putting up with the occasional black screen when changing source back to WMC.

I have had a lot of changes since my August 1 comment. I am using a HD6770 now. The default Win 7 driver seems to be ok so far. I am running Atiumdag 8.850.0.0 (Catalyst 11.5). That's what came with the Win 7 updates
