MY MOVIES 4 (Force Folder Scan)

I am a little confused about the "Folder Monitoring" of My Movies 4. I set the monitor folder to //htpc/mymovies, but it does not scan immediately. How often does it scan? Is there a way that I can force it to scan immediately?

Ultimately I want to sit down for about 15 minutes once a week and do maintenance on my media center. I would like to transfer all the new movies that I have gathered on my DEN pc over to the HTPC (living room), then start cleaning up the my movies portion of it. If my movies does not scan it immediately, then I have to create a new folder for every movie manually.
