Macintosh users, same thing. It took awhile for Apple to provide retail copies, and I think that was not their original intent. Their original intent was, deliver it all over the net.

I think this is just matching the reality that no one buys these. Real people get a new version of Windows when they buy a new PC and that's it. MS know the numbers and if they were selling serious quantities of these they wouldn't be getting rid of them.
