Netflix in 7MC

#1

Post by Skybolt » Tue May 22, 2012 7:26 pm

Is there an easy way to add Netflix back to 7MC? When I first set up 7MC Netflix was there, but now it is gone. I am not using 7MC activly as I am still using SageTv. Just trying to get 7MC configured so I can make the jump back to WMC again.

Thanks,
Skybolt

When you first install windows the Netflix plug in will be missing. This is normal. Click tasks, settings run through the set up screens there will be an option to set up your internet connection, somewhere in there is a download now button. Hit that and let it update.. I think that was how I got it to reappear after my last format. I usually hit tasks settings and set up my screen, audio, internet connection, install play ready etc.. And then magically the Netflix plugin appears.

Thanks for the reply, I tried that a week or so ago. It seems my menus do not have that option any longer?

Thank

Thank you very much, that proved to be a very useful link. As turns out, when 7MC is managed via remote desktop certian video features are turned off, i.e. NetFlix. boy do I feel stupid, I can't tell you how much time I have spent trying to get this to work via RD... Thanks again

Once you have Netflix working in MC I would suggest you download and install the Silverlight 5 plugin as well. It has helped some with menu hangs/crashes in the Netflix plugin.
