Delete icon not available on all my post's

Delete icon not available on all my post's
There are times when I forget to quote someone on a post and when doing so there is no delete icon on my previous post. I end up editing the old one with just a smiley face and creating a new post with the quote.

I believe the delete button is available until someone tries to reply to the post. If you forget to quote someone, you can always use the quote blocks around your text.
