Email from Schedules Direct

#1

Post by Ken H » Sat Dec 16, 2023 10:25 pm

I received an email from Schedules Direct today:

Schedules Direct lineup removal notice

We have detected that one of your channel lineups has been removed by
our data source. We have removed it from your SD-DD account. The
SD-JSON service is not affected.

The removed lineup was: MI21464:X(Comcast).

If you were actively using that lineup, you should choose a new one at
https://schedulesdirect.org.

You may also need to update your application.

If you need additional help, feel free to post in our forum, email us,
or contact your application support

Thank you,

Schedules Direct

I looked at my schedules Direct account and it says I have no SS-DD lineup configured. Under Lineup Support it shows a SS-JSON lineup from Xfinity.
I'm looking for confirmation that my assumption I don't need to do anything is correct. Everything is working correctly, including today's update.

Windows 7 WMC & EPG123

Thanks in advance for the assistance.

Correct. EPG123 uses the SD-JSON server. Nothing you need to do.

Got the same e-mail about my old comcast lineup - looks like they just renamed them to Xfinity something.

I received essentially the same e-mail Saturday the 16th - but related to my Charter/Spectrum lineup. And yet when I I login, it still shows the SS-DD lineup. And EPG123 is working as expected, nothing in the logs.

I got that GD email too. I went in and messed around with my line ups. Now epg123 says I'm subscribed to 3 of 4 even though on the SD page I have 4. I need the missing one. I also added that lineup in epg123 and applied but still shows only 3 of 4. I've tried restarts and signing in and out. I did see in the log a warning that one lineup was blocked by the user. I have since removed that one. Still no joy. Any suggestions?

More info. Now there's an error in the log that's says epg123 did not receive a response from SD for retrieval of [the missing lineup] The info other 3 is there. Does that mean error is on their side ?

Problem solved. The lineups I was selecting in epg1123 config apparently did not match what I had set up on the SD website. I never ran into this before but now I know. Merry Christmas to all!

The lineups you have selected on the SD website have nothing to do with the ones you select in EPG123, they are for two completely different services.

For the SD-DD service, you need to select lineups on their website, but for the SD-JSON service (the one EPG123 uses) you select them in the client, in this case in the EPG123 GUI.
