Thumbnail issue in WMC while using Icaros

#1

Post by windowsxpmediacenter » Tue Feb 14, 2023 2:13 am

I have a bunch of movies in mkv format, and I’ve added them in WMC as a video library, but almost all the thumbnails are black/blank. I have K-Lite and Icaros 2.2.x installed on both Windows 7 and Vista which I’m dual booting, and the thumbnail offset at around 20%. Is there a way to fix the blank thumbnails?

Thanks for replying. I found the file with the thumbnails, and most of them are black. I tried deleting the file to see if it just needed to regenerate them, but this did not fix the issue. is there a program that will let you edit the database file?

You could try backing it up, then moving it or renaming it to see if wmc rebuilds it

I deleted it and the file was rebuilt, but this didn’t fix the issue. Still shows black thumbnails for all but two videos, one of which is an MP4.

Edit: Nevermind, apparently this isn’t a problem in Windows 7 and I’m just having issues with WMC on Vista.
