Update PlayReady on every reboot

Hello,

My Media Center now asks to update PlayReady after every reboot of the PC. Not sure exactly when this started as I do not reboot so often. Many times it takes several retries to get the update to work. I am wondering if anyone is having similar issues or has any suggestions.

I don't think the update ever works. Try downloading the msi installer from https://garyan2.github.io/drm.html. After you install that, open WMC and goto setting/General/Windows Media Setup and select 'Install PlayReady' if it is available. Should be pretty quick at that point to recognize it is already installed.

I get the update prompt when a show can't be started, usually from error on the Comcast side. Updates never work (no surprise) and I just have to ignore the prompts. I don't get them on reboot, and I didn't do anything specific to avoid them.
