I've never seen these log entries for EPG123 before, but it has now happened twice in the past week:
Code: Select all
[10/5/2021 7:41:58 PM] [ INFO] **** Intercepted "mcupdate.exe -u -nogc" call. Ignored. ****
[10/11/2021 7:42:07 PM] [ INFO] **** Intercepted "mcupdate.exe -u -nogc" call. Ignored. ****
I assume these are related to WMC trying to update the guide, but can you elaborate on how this works? I think I recall you saying that you modify the mcupdate task to intercept these, but I am wondering why I have never seen these log messages before. I am guessing it has something to do with the fact that EPG123client was already running during the times above (in the middle of the ImportMxfFile() process both times).

I don't know exactly what triggers WMC to make the call, but I've only seen it occur when WMC is opened*, but not every time. It is WMC calling to update the guide and packages but since neither of those are available anymore, I just have the client intercept them so they don't go anywhere. It keeps the errors from showing up in the event logs.
I typically don't have WMC opened when an epg123 update occurs, so maybe it is the import that enables the trigger for WMC to make the call on first chance.

Hmmm, but I wonder why I've never seen it before? I checked all logs and those two are the only times it shows up.
I've disabled the guide update in WMC way back when I first installed EPG123, so I don't know why it would start doing this now...
