Cable Card Basic Question

I have a Cable Card tuner and a question about the premium channels and DRM

If I subscribe to HBO to watch something, record a bunch of stuff and then cancel my subscription, will i lose my recordings due to not having the channel in my subscription package anymore?

But remember that you will only be able to watch HBO on the TV you recorded it, or extenders. Most companies copy-protect the premiums.
