I noticed this post from https://forum.silicondust.com/forum/vie ... 28#p364028
"There is good news and bad news. Details to come very soon."

Maybe the good news is that its finally CableLabs certified and the bad news is that it doesn't matter anymore.

I wonder if it is certified but because of COVID-19 they can't get the amount of supplies needed to do a mass roll out.

Unlikely, since they said the reason for the Prime 3 no longer being manufactured is that they can no longer get the parts/chips that it uses.

Realistically, they were being very optimistic to think they would be releasing this product (Prime 6), CableCards were on their way out even when they announced it (the second time, at least) and the hurdles that CableLabs puts up are tall and many.

I suspect the bad news is no Prime 6 will be coming (which should not be a surprise to many), not sure what the good news is, but probably just a discount on another one of their products...

Also, "Details coming very soon" was posted 9 days ago, and it does seem that SD may have a quite loose definition of "soon".

It sounds like they found a stock-pile of SoC's that the Prime 3 used and will put it back into a limited production (until they run out). It also sounds like they are going to pursue adding DRM recording on their SERVIO/SCRIBE hardware based storage.

Prime 6 is dead.

I had to go a little further than the "official" thread to find the answer...
