I found out the hard way that the guide was going away. It was gone last week!
Anyway I saw the posts about using epg123. Great alternative. Setup was a bit wonky but it seems to be working.
I have a funny issue though. I re-scanned all my channels (I live south west of Chicago) and Channel 2 did not register. I tried several more times but no go. I then went up on the roof the next day an re-aligned the antenna as the wind can play games. Re-scanned and still no Channel 2! bummer. So my channel line up starts with channel 5.
Funny thing though is that epg123 remembered my shows that I'm recording and Survivor (On Channel 2 here) records without an issue. Great reception. Thus, why does channel scan not pick it up?? So, I'm wondering if there is a way to force my channel 2 back on the guide? Could I force it with epg123?

Channel 2 is a VHF channel. WMC does not scan for VHF channels, only UHF. This is covered in the installation instructions here http://epg123.garyan2.net/install/step3p3/ which documents the procedure to add the channel (Channel 2 Chicago is VHF channel 12)
