Updating Channels After Install?

#1

Post by mfc90125 » Sat Dec 28, 2019 7:11 pm

Hello,

First allow me to congratulate this site and the developer for rescuing my WMC from the brink! 700 movies, 655 television shows and 1,200 albums can live to fight another day!

When I set up the program guide for the first time, I forgot to add two stations. Is there a way to add new stations once you’ve completed the initial set up? I’d hate to have to go through starting over.

Also, is there a screen that shows me when the schedule will update? I am downloading to the same client and box and have set up the Scheduled Task for 00:00. I do see the message “task has not yet run. Exit: 0x0000001” on the Full Mode screen.

It seems that you are dealing with EPG123, you should probably post this in the EPG123 forum so it gets proper attention.

It's not clear to me what you mean by "forgot to add two stations".

Also, what screen are you looking for? In WMC? The EPG123 tools show you when the task will run.

Thanks for this information. Maybe I read it wrong but I thought this was where all Qs regarding EPG/WMC were to be posted.

To answer your questions, when I first set up EPG I forgot to add two channels: Comet and H&I. I was able to add them back into WMC but the program guide wasn’t updating.

The screens I’m looking for are in EPG not WMC. Perhaps like you said I need to post those questions on there.

EDIT: each time I select Forum from EPG it takes me here. They don’t appear to have their own forum for EPG.

You need to enable downloading the new stations in the EPG123 Configuration GUI. After you add them to the download, click the [Save & Execut] button.

I, too, have tried to add more stations to the epg. I did checkmark them and did a save & execute in the GUI, but they still do not show up in the WMC. What am I missing?

If you don't have the 'Automatically match...' or 'Automatch' option enabled, then you will have to manually match the newly added guide listings on the right side to the scanned channel on the left side of the client. Reference http://epg123.garyan2.net/install/step3p3/

Thanks! That portion of the Client was ghosted when I first set up. I had to delete the scheduled event first before I could set Automatch.
