Two Issues with EPG123

#1

Post by purpleb » Mon Dec 16, 2019 5:20 pm

I just converted over this today It was easy to do but had 2 issues.

1. I am doing OVA and stations 2 - 2.4 show on the listing and then starts up at 22.1 I missed the stations in between. How can I fix it. All the channels are listed on the right in the Lineup Services. On the left (Guide Channels), I see it list from from 2.4 and then to 22.1 missing the rest in between. I had checked all stations (EN) during setup.

2. I had My Channel Logos installed. After running EPG123 (default was custom labels), the guide is the MCE standard and not what I like from MyChannel Logos. Can that be fixed?

Thanks...

1. The stations you are missing are most likely VHF channels. In Step 2 of the installation, there is a step stating "For those with ATSC Over-the-Air (OTA) tuners, additional setup will be required in order to receive your local VHF channels. Refer to Additional OTA Configuration." The link it points to is how to add VHF channels within WMC here.

2. If you want to use MCL XL, make sure you do not enable the option to 'Include station logos' in the EPG123 configuration. To remove current logos, you can open the client, click the [Tweak WMC] button, and then the [Remove] button on the right side. From there, you will need to populate the logos with MCL XL. Note that the logos you had setup prior to transitioning over are no longer linked to the channels... the channel IDs are different.

RE: MCL XL

Curious, I understand that MCL XL has some logos that are better than what is provided by Schedules Direct. Is there any other reason to use it? With EPG123 it is possible to use custom/different logos by just copying g them into the .\logos folder. There are some other benefits of using the .\logos folder as well.
