Hi all
I've been having performance issues on my system these past few months and I think i tracked it down to a bad tuner on my 4 tuner PCIe card. Its fine after a reboot, but slowly degrades and makes the system perform poorly on top of it. Here are a few questions:
Are there ways of disabling one of the tuners?
Would a flash update/reimage help with a funky tuner?
What is the latest recommended firmware?
Are there ways to dig deeper into the card to try and find the problem?
Are there any disadvantages switching to an Ceton ethernet tuner?
I'm waiting for Emby to be more robust before using it as a primary TV source, but MC is still king. I'd like to extend it a little longer if I can.

Or if you look around these threads there was a beta firmware. My old 4 never had an issue.

If you switch to an ethernet tuner, I recommend Silicon Dust right now.

Check you card/tuner temp. Sounds like it is too hot. I had to place a side fan on my case to keep both my cards cool. Over 65C they will not work.

I thought of that temp issue. They hover between 59 and 65. It was much hotter at first and I did add a fan which helped. I remember talking to Ceton about it years ago. They indicated that anything below 65 would be ok.
