Adding another CableCARD tuner

I have a Hauppauge dual tuner CableCARD receiver with a tuning adapter and want to add another. I know that I need 2 CableCARDs, 1 for each dual tuner receiver but do I also need 2 tuning adapters? I was hoping to just split the cable AFTER the existing tuning adapter and send it to each receiver, will that work or do I have to use 2 tuning adapters?

TA's are essentially "paired" with a tuner. You will need a separate TA for each tuner.

Just remember if you go over 4 of one type of tuner, you need Tuner Salad or one of the other "work-a-arounds"
