Several M CableCards recognized as single stream

#1

Post by Qumvb16 » Wed Sep 28, 2016 9:23 pm

I just installed an Infinitv 4 pcie and have Time Warner cable. I'm running windows 7 and media player. I'm have been unable to get the infinitv 4 recognize that the cable cards are multi stream. Had anyone had this same issue? Could three separate multi tuner cards be bad, or is there some setting I need to change? Any help would be appreciated

Never heard of this before and I've had CableCARD since its inception.

Are these Cisco or Motorola cards?

Ok. So Cisco. I was told just this week by Time Warner when I was switching to the Spectrum plan that Cisco isn't making new CableCARD's anymore and they are only able to buy refurbished cards. I wonder if Cisco is refurbishing old S cards?

Wow, that would exactly explain my situation. All three of the cards had fresh stickers on them, but the physical cartridge looked old. And when I went to swap them at a time Warner location they just have them loose in a pouch. Thanks a lot for the info

Is there any part number printed on the card?

In doing some digging I found this press release that says Technicolor purchased the connected device division of Cisco.
