Scheduled recordings will not record if computer is idle

I have MMC downloaded & hooked up,,,,,,now I have a problem with it recording

I am ready to pull my hair out,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,BUT I don’t have any

I need to get this straightened out before Saturday when my 7 day trial is up for Schedule Direct

this pre-recording is getting me peved,,,,,,,,I taped a show at 10:30 ,,,,,,,,,,,IT TAPED

we left the house at 12:20 & came home at 4:00 pm

The show that was suppose to be taped at 12:30 DID NOT TAPE
the show that was suppose to be taped at 3:00 DID NOT TAPE

before we left I double checked to see if the red button was still there for all the shows I had programed, and the red button was there

since we were home I checked the program for the shows I want taped at 5:00............7:00........and 10:00........... the red button is still lite for them to be taped

now why did it not tape the shows at 12:30 & 3:00 ??????????

any ideas on how to hold a record request for a show several house in the future or overnight?

I think that your main problem is that you are using video tape, you need to upgrade to a hard drive, man!

But seriously...

If your recordings worked while you had the WMC frontend running and did not work when it was not running, then the problem is most likely a corrupted entry in the task scheduler. Or on Windows 10, the entry may not be there at all for some reason...

Oh space I guess you knew I ungraded to windows 10m and am using Garys program
