WMC-10 sound halts after ~1 minute

Forced myself to try WMC-10, again, having failed to get WMC up several months ago. This time it seems willing to use the InfiniTV-4 PCIe tuners - though it required more work than expected.

BUT, there's a sound issue:

• * When I tried watching a current program (Jeopardy, FWIW), the sound was normal for about a minute, then it went mute.
  * I then tried viewing a program recorded a few days ago under trouble-free WIn 8.1 -- again, the sound cut out after ~1 minute.

Is this a known problem with a workaround? I don't know where to look!

System: Win 10 from 8.1, HDMI out to TV via AMD card, AMD 1050T (6 core), many TB of disk.

Same h/w had zero problems before upgrade.

I didn't have to change my audio settings going from Win7-Win10. Win8.1 to Win10 might have left some loose ends that need to be terminated.
