Recording to SSD

Capacity keeps going up and price keeps going down . . . anyone ever experiment with SSD as a recording drive to see how it works?

I'm curious if the read/writes would kill the drive sooner.

It works fine, or just as well as a hard drive. In theory, you could kill the drive sooner with all of the writes, but it seems like the reputable SSDs these days last far longer than they're rated for.
