Is anyone else having issues with TV series and Schedules direct? Two of my shows (the Blacklist and Downton Abbey) are showing last week's episode data instead of this weeks.

^ Check Zap2it's website listings. If they are listed incorrectly it is not a WMC problem.

If you're a Schedules Direct subscriber please open a ticket at the Schedules Direct website and I can pull the raw data and escalate to Gracenote if required.

I looked into submitting a ticket but I am thinking I would like a refund instead. There's just too many errors in your data. It's nice to have more metadata but if the listings are wrong it's too frustrating.

Some examples:

NFL Playoffs: New England v. Kansas City listed twice - once on correct time and channel and once instead of Green Bay v. Arizona.

Every boxing match is Danny Garcia v. Robert Guerroo

Can you explain what is going on?

For $25 a year, I am not signing up to be an editor of your listings - how about you extend my trial so I can get a sense of accuracy over time? I am not impressed.

You have already opened a ticket at our site and I've been replying to you there; if you want to move the troubleshooting to this forum I can do that but I won't reveal your specific issues in a public forum without your permission.

Does anyone that has BSEPG working also have the movie guide "genres" search working? I am populating my MXF file with the genre flags, but only 2 genres show up: All & Family.

If it is working, I'd be curious to see the MXF file that BSEPG is generating to see what I might be missing.

I am pretty sure I do have this functionality. If so I can provide you with a mxf file to look at

So, how accurate is this over Rovi ? Are we are at a almost like a DVR from the cable company or dish network, or are we paying more for the same issues we are having with Rovi ?

I'm not sure where sourcehound's issue lies, but for each of the examples of incorrect data in the application, I was able to show what was on our servers and the server was accurate.

I feel confident that the data we have is good. If you'd like to provide a specifc date/time/channel I can let you know what we have so that you can compare it to what Rovi is providing.

Confirmed movie genres work, I have 16 of them.
Verified that they all load and work.

Another plus for BSEPG/schedule direct and down for rovi...

microsoft really botched up media center :(

I'm also using WMC with Cablecard, Schedules Direct, and BSEPG

First, I do get movie genres.

Re: Trouble with EPG from Schedules Direct
I've had problems with the WMC guide even when getting good data from Schedules Direct. There are a lot of variables and settings. I'm still tweaking settings (within WMC and with imported EPG). I've noticed that sometimes the EPG seems to revert back to ROVI and give generic info.

My most recent change was to not tell WMC which Cable company I use. WMC just sets up 9900 generic channels and I then configure them with BSEPG and Lineup Selector. I'm hoping that WMC will now have nothing to download and conflict with my Schedules Direct EPG. (Actually I tested this and told WMC to "Download Now" my guide data. It returned a message that it couldn't do it).

Bottom line... Schedules Direct guide data is very accurate and the metadata is much more detailed. But, it is a hard process to get it setup with WMC.

Would you be able to provide your MXF file generated by BSEPG?

jfb154 Any progress to report on your pull from schedules direct and generate mxf files to load into WMC tool?
Lookin9g forward to trying it out when you are ready for testers.
