I'm using Windows 8.1 with WMC, saving files over 1gb Ethernet to an iSCSI drive on a NAS. Has worked fine for 2+ years, but now I'm getting errors related to running out of disk space (wants to delete shows, won't record some new ones). I have more than 1.3TB free of 2TB allocated.
I see that for Win7 there is a solution involving the mediacenterrecoverytask, but can't apply that to 8.1. I've tried rerunning setup, but no change. I've also tried launching WMC as administrator - again no change (but did not try to reschedule recordings).
Any advice?

Still no luck with this - driving me crazy as it won't let me record until I have about 1.5TB free!
Tried disabling WMC through control panel, but when I re-enabled it the settings (and the problem) were still there.
This has worked fine for many months. The only change I made to the machine (i3 Intel NUC) has been fiddling around with DVRMS-Toolbox and Comskip.
Anyone else here had this problem?

Is it a permissions problem?

Just wondering, did you check the recording settings ? You might have set a limit on the drive, it's a common setting that people forget about.

Did you check the free disk space on the C: drive? Regardless of where your recorded TV folder is set to, WMC won't record if the C drive is full.

Thanks guys - you got me on the right track. Somehow the setting got changed to point to my C: drive (110GB SSD) instead of the mapped NAS drive. I should have gotten clued in when I couldn't remove the C: drive from the recorded TV libraries.
