Big confession here:
The MCE guide has been slow AF, unresponsive pita since last fall... I lied on my post above. Just want everyone to be happy:) dont wanna bitch about stupid shyte. I believe MSFT telemetry or EPG guide provider SD is to blame. The epg software seems fine but using MCE guide - any navigation is just super studdering irritating pos but performance / playback / live tv is perfect. Since tv is so low priority we (the gf and I) just live with it.
Pro tip: sometimes the best fix is to douse your windows machine in Ronson lighter fluid, throw match, watch it burn - then pee on it. Fresh reboot sometimes fixes myriad issues.

This still sounds like a database problem. Did you do a [Rebuild WMC Database] in the client? This will start a fresh database while restoring most everything.

OMFG yes that worked. speedy process. thanks man.
Not sure why I was hesitant to hit the "Rebuild WMC Database" button. it is a magical button and I no longer fear it.
I backed up the mxf and performed client backup. just in case. For DR I have an offline bootable cloned image of this machine updated every month or so... this thing has been running 24/7 since january 2013. solid caps endurance is real! also seasonic psu's power surge protection deffo saved this mobo countless times from power outages.

LOL. You would think that with a moniker like "mustpushbuttons", that wouldn't have been an issue. Yes, it is a magic button and the only thing you lose is the recording history and coverart of past recordings that are no longer part of the guide. Well worth the cost to get a guide that is responsive.mustpushbuttons wrote: ↑Sat Feb 25, 2023 6:17 pm Not sure why I was hesitant to hit the "Rebuild WMC Database" button. it is a magical button and I no longer fear it.
