HDhomerun program data failing to update.

#1

Post by Pueblo » Fri Feb 03, 2023 4:17 pm

Hi,
For about a week now, the HDHomerun guide data is stuck at Jan 31. This is happening on two PCs running the latest EPG123 version. I have tried backing off to earlier versions, but with the same result. The strange thing is that the HDhomerun app is updating for the two week guide data. Has access been changed for applications other than the HDhomerun app? I'm running win 10 pro on both PCs.
Thanks for the continued support.
Geoff.

Look in your EPG123 log for errors. Also is the EPG123 icon red when starting WMC?

I believe you are referencing the hdhr2mxf program. It is still working fine, but what version are you using?

I'm using v1.7.3.0, but I've tried older versions, and they also fail to update the epg.mxf data. It's stuck at Jan 31. The update icon always shows up red after the update attempt, both auto and manual.

I'm in the UK by the way, if that makes any difference. Everything has been working fine for years, so I'm at a loss.

Okay. Take a look at the xmltv file downloaded from SiliconDust... there may not be any channels. c:\programdata\garyan2\epg123\output\hdhr2mxf.xmltv

Okay, looks like it is breaking when trying to create the lineup channels for the MXF file. Could you use a browser to open "http://{IP address of QUATRO}/lineup.json?tuning" and send the results to support@garyan2.net? I should be able to find what is null where I am expecting a value.

Hi,
I just encountered the same problem as before - that another "rogue" channel appeared at the end of the HDHR lineup. Just by X-ing it out fixed it, as recommended by Gary. I don't know if Freeview are playing games here or what it is.
