It's like CES 2014 all over again...

At least they appear to have a case for it now.
I'll believe it when I see it...but hopefully this time it will actually materialize...

Well, Lon was holding the device, so it looks like it's the real deal.Space wrote:It's like CES 2014 all over again...

I'll be happy to only rent 1 cablecard instead of 2, like I'm doing now with 2 HD Homerun Primes.

So it took 4 years to create the case? LOL
What I don't totally understand is why bring this out now unless they have future plans with partners. I know PLEX is one of their Partners but with no copy protected channel recording in PLEX or Android TV the point seems moot.
Sure WMC will still work for some time. Especially since we have a handle on Guide Data thanks to EPG123 but I hope SD knows more than they are letting on at the moment with their partners.

It appears that current owners of HDHomerun hardware are eligible for a 30% discount on the regular price of new hardware. I'm not sure if it will be valid for the new device, or if they will be cheaper at retail, but something to keep in mind.

Anyone have any idea what the 6 tuner will retail for?
$149, $199? $249?

I'm fairly certain there won't be any discounts on this product.

I think they should give Kickstarter supporters one for free since they failed to support DRM on thier DVR app.choliscott wrote:I'm fairly certain there won't be any discounts on this product.

So, any word on release date? Still want it! So, how do we get the credit, if we already have a Prime 3, just trade it in?

Haven't seen any dates. Where are you seeing info on a trade in?
