HTPC Audio Channels Randomly Disappearing on 5.1

I am using Asus Motherboard, less than one year one. Running Windows 10. Graphics Nvidia GT1030. Running Denon AVR X1200W amp.. powering 5.1 speakers and a sub.

If I power off the entire system, (not just shut down, but power switch the PC to off). Then boot up, it will be fine. All channels working. If the system was left to idle for awhile. One of two of the channels disappears. Usually it is the center channel or the right rear channel. Restarting the PC does not help. Turning the AVR on and off does not help. The entire system must be turned off for 30 min.

I have reistall all drivers. I even changed the graphics card. But the problem just comes back.

Please help. Its extremely annoying.. thanks

I had something similar to this a long time ago. It was due to the HDMI audio going to sleep and would fail to resync when it was started again. Really caused some havoc on my system as well.

My fix was to use a program called AVR Audio Guard, but that evidently doesn't work on Win10. I did a quick search, and it looks like there is something to replace it called SPDIF Keep Alive. You can read about it here (https://hardforum.com/threads/avr-audio ... 0.1872365/) which is where I stopped.

Good luck. I lost most of my hair during that time in my life.
