InfiniTV USB rebooting when tuning certain channels
I just took a firmware update on my USB InfiniTV. Then I moved it to a different PC to be a Clear QAM tuner. When running tuner setup, the tuner reboots and doesn't get recognized automatically. I can then do manual Clear QAM setup and it will find all the channels. After that, tuning some channels causes the device to reboot (go red light and then blue, USB eject/insert noises).
I brought it back to the PC where it was functioning and it is also rebooting on some channels, but different ones than the first machine. Has anyone seen anything like this? I submitted a ticket.
I am running firmware 1.1.7.2 and hardware version 4881
The USB driver version is 1.0.4.1 and the Driver Package Version is 1.5.4304.6.

Have you tried powering off the tuner and removing and reseating the cableCARD?

I am using it as a Clear QAM tuner, so no cablecard.
I do have a ticket open with Ceton, but thought I would see if anyone else had seen this.

As another follow-up...
I thought there was a change to the Ceton software to allow TV Setup without a cablecard, but their Support FAQ still has this. Is anyone using one of these without a CC? Comcast and I have had a difference in opinion on how they should bill 2 cablecards in the same media center, so I moved this tuner to a different machine and am not paying for a CableCARD for it.

DanQ: Does InfiniTV tune Clear QAM, ATSC and/or Analog TV channels?
A: Clear QAM (e.g. unencrypted digital cable): Yes, InfiniTV supports Clear QAM channels; however, Windows Media Center requires that you have a CableCARD inserted in your InfiniTV device in order to configure the tuners in Media Center. Once your InfiniTV is paired and activated with your local cable system, then you can remove the CableCARD if you wish to receive ClearQAM channels only.

AFAIK The InfiniTV is only supported when used with a cable card. I recall it was not developed for use as a clear QAM tuner.

Ceton support was able to get me fixed up. Looks like I was hitting an issue that is fixed in a beta firmware.

Gotta like Ceton support.. They are usually very good to their customers.

Good to know this is no longer an issue after new firmware.
Is the performance of the InfiniTV USB as fast as the PCIe model ?
I have the original first release PCIe, and I need to build a new PC, so I'm thinking of swapping to external USB version. (possibly TWO of them so I get 8 tuners)

I have both a PCIe and USB unit.. I notice no diffenence in performance between the two. They both just work well. I never thought I would want/need 8 tuners.. Boy was I wrong. Add a few exteneders and ya just end up needing them. Both units have been great for me.
