I have Windows Server 2022 Standard with the Hyper-V role enabled. I can create virtual switch bridges within Hyper-V for some of my network cards however.
I have a Centon InfiniTV 4 card that is PCIe. It supports network tuning but isn't a network card. it supports bridging to a physical NIC for this. I am trying to make the Ceton accessible by a VM on Hyper-V but from my understanding I need to successfully bridge the Ceton to one of my physical attached network cards. When I try and do this on the OS level It fails but still creates the bridge. The bridge does not include both devices just one. When I try and delete the bridge the OS sits there with a message on the screen that it's being deleted indefinitely.
So in general should I be able to directly create a bridge between the Ceton and an Intel Nic or with Hyper-V does that prevent this capability? Am I missing something?
Bridge the InfiniTV in Windows Server?
