Link to Working MMC Install for Controlling 8.1 WMC
Can anyone provide a link to whatever version of MMC allows you to control your MCXs remotely when installed on an 8.1 WMC? The latest/greatest from the Ceton website will install on an 8.1 but you can't remote control and of the MCXs.

That's just the server half of it. That part gets installed on the PC which hosts your WMC.TheOsburnFamil wrote:Can anyone provide a link to whatever version of MMC allows you to control your MCXs remotely when installed on an 8.1 WMC? The other half (The client so to speak) gets installed on win 8.1 You have to buy it at the Windows store.

I already have the client for all of my platforms. Im strictly talking the server-side install. I recently reloaded my HTPC running MediaCenter and the download for MMC from Ceton's website does not recognize devices being avail for control.
This was a known issue in the past and the fix is to use a slightly older version of the installer... I can't seem to find it.

Unfortunately this isn't the one because you can't install it on Windows 8. The one I'm looking for was able to install on Windows 8 and allow you to select MCX devices from the client app up.

If these are not the ones you are looking for......Go to your backup, then Drive C, then to your user account, usually it gets downloaded to the download directory, unless you were trying to be clever that day.
Better Idea search the whole backup for "setup" or "Ceton"
