Dual show title entries display in Recoded TV

#1

Post by alan » Mon Jun 23, 2014 3:58 pm

I am getting two show titles displayed for each show recorded in my Recorded TV display in My Media Center. The recorded time shown is 4 minutes different for each show.

In addition the CData Service is crashing.

I installed a new Recorded TV drive and moved the old drive to a new computer. I have uninstalled and re-installed My Media Center. Any ideas. I have multiple Media Center PC's and this is the only one with the problem.

Well I finally looked at the RecordedTV screen in WMC and see that there are two entries for each show there. I use RecordedTVHD and never look at that screen so I did not realize that this is a WMC issue. I will post elsewhere to see if I can find a fix.

A quick search through the Windows 7 Media Center board and I found the problem. I had duplicate entries in the Watchedfolder registry setting, one with the network path and one with the local drive path. I deleted the network path restarted WMC and that fixed the problem. My Media Center now displays the RecordedTV correctly with only one entry per show.
