I've been having this same issue for months now. I updated to the latest My Media application but it's still occurring. This only occurs when using WMC on my Xbox and using My Media app to change the channel. If I use the Xbox remote, everything is fine.

So, I just happened to remote into my PC and see if there were any updates. I updated My Media Center on the PC to version 13.2.26.1062 and the problem appears to be fixed! It's been going 45 minutes now and so far the screen saver has not kicked in. Thanks for making this product finally usable!

Edit: It's working for Live TV, but recorded material still has this problem :(

Edit 2: Working fine on WinRT actually, just not Windows Phone 7.5 (Lumia 900)

This seems to be fixed for recordings but not for live TV. Are we going to get an update on this any time soon?

Yep, still have the same issue as well. My guess is we won't see a fix until the Echo issues are ironed out.

Until we are able to figure out exactly what is going on with the xbox you can disable it completely: http://social.technet.microsoft.com/For ... 4863eeb1b/

The issue does not appear to happen every time and if you do press any button on a physical remote or even the virtual remote in the app it will not happen.

Just checking back in on this as well... have all updates as of today (05/13/2013) and I still get the screensaver on my HTPC (Have not tried on extenders). This issue is random though as sometimes I don't experience the issue but it seems that most of the time I do. I can also add that when I 're-tune' to the same channel via the Ceton app that it seems to be ok. Just a pain to use though.

I have given up hope that this will be fixed and reverted to picking up a Harmony 200 for the bedroom I have the Xbox 360 in. It seems like a Microsoft issue in the way that the programming is addressed differently when accessed through the television tab vs. using the actual remote functions. Microsoft likely does not account for the different ways in which a program can be started.

I already made the registry change, and this didn't fix the problem.

I've got this issue on LiveTV... I'm guessing the fix never went out and it's still in beta?

As I see it, the app/software and its continued development has been discontinued, maybe not officially but it certainly hasn't been worked on or updated in a very long time (year plus).

I thought it was fixed. I never had an issue so I'm not sure.

Did you select 'beta' updates in the Windows/server end? Is it updated to the latest?
