TV Card to replace AVerMedia H335 MiniCard DVB-T

My fiancee has owned a HP Envy 23 touchsmart from new which comes installed with a H335 tuner.
It's been perfectly fine until recently it ghosted out on device manager becoming hidden an classed as not installed. I uninstalled the device and shutdown the all in one PC. I removed the card and gave the system a general dusting then refitted everything.
The TV card came back and classed as working correctly but I've had no luck with it since, WMC kept freezing so I reinstalled all that but now I cannot progress pass signal detection, the orb keeps spinning and I have to end task.
Using the AVermedia player software when I choose a channel the picture is just blank/black.
I'm thinking the TV card has possibly given up so I was wondering what options I have for replacement or perhaps an upgrade if T2 is possible for better quality?
Open to recommendations please ideally something that runs good for WMC because this HP system has the WMC remote so it's perfect for it. Thanks.
