Dolby Digital logo disappears

Hello - I've been using Windows Media Center for many years with my Ceton digital cable tuner, and I've been editing recordings with VideoRedo, which recently added support for AC3 5.1 surround, however if I edit a recording I've noticed that the Dolby Digital logo goes away, even though the file is still in AC3 5.1 surround. I've furthermore been able to confirm that simply moving a wtv recording from one folder to another without any edits or modifications of any kind causes the logo to disappear. Unfortunately, without the logo the only way to check whether a recording is in AC3 5.1 surround, is to open it in VideoRedo and look at the video program info, as it seems WMC doesn't inspect wtv files to determine their sound format. Is there some way to notify WMC that such recordings are in fact Dolby Digital? This would be of great benefit.
