I have a Windows 7 system with an XBox360 extender connected to my TV. Recently, about a week ago, I've started having an issue. When the XBox WMC is started, it connects to the PC but then disconnects. It tries again and can't find PC. I check the PC and it has locked up.......I have to power off by holding power button.
I thought it might be the XBox Windows Profile.....deleted and added XBox back to Media Center. But it continues to lock the PC.
I'm wondering if it has something to do with Malwarebytes.
Anyone have any suggestions or thoughts?
Thanks.
Robert

Well it looks like it is Malwarebytes, yet again, was causing issues with Win7 Media Center. I uninstalled it and lockups stopped and the system slowness stopped as well. I have reinstalled an older version:
Malwarebytes version: 3.8.3.2965
Component Package version: 1.0.629
Update Package version: 1.01.16096
Turned off auto update as well.
Will run with this version to see if any slowness or lockups occur.
