WMC is not detecting all OTA channels

#1

Greetings everyone
I recently installed a new HDHomeRun 4K Flex - network OTA 4 channel tuner. When I detect channels on my Win7 machine all of the channels are not detected. In particular channel 12.1, thru 12.4, and 64.1 thru 64.4. These are VHF HI channels on RF channel 12 (CBS). In the HDHR software config gui setup I can see them as having 100-90-100 signal strength which is very good. Yet WMC does not detect them. Oddly I also have a win10 box with WMC installed which sees them fine? Both using the same EPG123 account.
I always run TunerSalad on my wmc machines prior to signal setup.

I thought somewhere I saw a patch that allows WMC to detect weaker OTA signals but I'm not having any luck finding it.
Oddly some of the channels it does find are week and get a lot of pixilation.

Any help is much appreciated.

Win 7 WMC does not scan VHF channels only UHF you must enter them by hand. The Win 8 code that is used in Win 10 does scan VHF.

This is correct, digital VHF channels did not exist at the time WMC development stopped, so no scanning of VHF in WMC. Fortunately it allows you to enter them manually.
