I need to pick out an Extender for Windows 7 WMC. From what I can tell there are dedicated units and also the Xbox 360. I only need basic function for guide and live TV, and just want the most reliable, least complicated way to go.
Any and all suggestions are welcome.

Not full extender functionality but if your needs are relatively simple it allows use of any hardware that runs kodi

How is this easier than a dedicated cheap box? I don't want to have to deal with another piece of software.prsa01 wrote: ↑Sun Jan 23, 2022 1:40 pm See this thread : https://thegreenbutton.tv/viewtopic.php ... d4#p146578

Certainly not simpler, just allows you to use hardware you may already have. If you have, or don't mond getting, the specific hardware needed to be an extender that is a simpler solution.
The kodi solution will also work if you end up moving to win10/11 at some point where extenders will not.
